Technical Implementation Engineer II
PEO Canada in partnership with our client, a global leader in energy management solutions, is seeking a Technical Implementation Engineer II to join their team. This role serves as a key escalation point for complex technical issues originating from both program support and internal teams.
You will work cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, SQA, Product Management, and Project Management to troubleshoot and resolve issues, support deployments, and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes. This role also involves mentoring junior engineers and supporting testing environments and beta product validation.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and drive resolution to completion
- Own and maintain test environments and lab infrastructure supporting deployment efforts
- Develop use cases and demonstrate system functionality to enhance customer-facing test suites
- Support System Acceptance Testing (SAT) for new deployments
- Lead creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for repeatable technical processes
- Adhere to formal change control processes
- Develop expertise across multiple technical domains (e.g., AMI, security, battery storage, networking, MDMS, etc.)
- Ensure CRM tickets are fully documented and resolved or escalated within SLA guidelines
- Proactively follow up on technical issues to ensure timely and accurate resolution
- Support software installations, upgrades, and post-implementation activities
- Identify opportunities for process and product improvements
- Test beta software releases and identify gaps in documentation (e.g., release notes)
- Participate in root cause analysis for system issues during deployments
- Act as a liaison across business units to resolve technical issues and defects
- Support and mentor other Technical Implementation Engineers
Required Skills
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to root cause analysis
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases (preferred)
- Familiarity with wireless technologies (a plus)
- Background in software QA/testing (preferred)
- Knowledge of utility industry operations (preferred)
- Experience with Windows/Unix systems, networking, or scripting (a plus)
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree required
- 2–5 years of relevant technical experience
- Experience working with integrated software and hardware solutions
- Experience working directly with customers (preferred)
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision and make sound technical decisions
