Technical Implementation Engineer I

PEO Canada in partnership with our client, a global leader in energy management solutions, is seeking a Technical Implementation Engineer I to join their team. In this role, you will act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and work cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, SQA, Product Management, and Project Management teams to deliver high-quality solutions to customers.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and drive them to resolution
  • Own and maintain test environments and lab infrastructure supporting deployment
  • Develop use cases and demonstrate system functionality to improve customer-facing test suites
  • Support System Acceptance Testing (SAT) for new deployments
  • Assist with First Article Testing (FAT) and monitor manufacturing processes
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure all CRM tickets are fully documented and resolved or escalated within SLA timelines
  • Proactively follow up on technical issues to ensure timely and accurate resolution
  • Support software installations, upgrades, and post-implementation activities
  • Test beta software releases and identify gaps in documentation
  • Participate in root cause analysis for system issues during deployments
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve technical challenges

Required Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Oracle or SQL Server (preferred)
  • Familiarity with wireless technologies (a plus)
  • Experience in software QA/testing (preferred)
  • Knowledge of utility industry operations (an asset)
  • Experience with Windows/Unix systems, networking, or scripting (a plus)

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree required
  • Experience working with both software and hardware systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
