Benefit Administrator

In this role you will provide benefit services to various Canadian and international companies with employees across Canada. You will be required to maintain current knowledge on group insurance plan legislation and practices, retirement savings plans, wellness programs and best practices as they relate to the group benefits field.
Description
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the day to day administration and education of our group benefits program including health, dental, life insurance, critical illness, disability, provincial healthcare and retirement plans;
- Facilitating group benefit and retirement savings meetings and education sessions for employees;
- Advising clients on employer-sponsored benefit plans, retirement savings policies and other wellness programs
- Ensuring employee/employer contributions and remittances are administered accurately and in accordance with plan documents and company policy; and
- Providing clients with recommendations and information on current benefit plan practices.

We are looking for candidates that have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a benefit-focused position. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in group benefit/retirement savings plan is required. Completion of a post-secondary education in Business Administration (or equivalent) from a recognized college or equivalent experience is preferred. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist qualification or equivalent relevant education would be an asset. Bilingual French/English language would be considered an asset.
