Business Development Representative

PEO Canada is partnering with our client, a company in the credit information industry, to hire a Business Development Representative. The Business Development Representative will focus on generating new opportunities and customer acquisition. This individual will source new sales opportunities and oversee lead development. The Business Development Representative will perform outbound campaigns to identify prospects. Outbound activities will involve making calls and emails. This individual will be outgoing and enjoy discussing prospects’ business needs to identify areas of opportunity. This a full time, permanent opportunity.

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make direct outbound calls and emails to prospective customers in order to work on new business opportunities.
  • Handle inbound requests for information and nurture the leads to get them into the next step of the sales process.
  • Obtain access to the relevant individual that can authorise the purchase of the product within the prospects business.
  • Describing the features of the products and services.
  • Consult with the prospect to define how the products can benefit their business.
  • Document future demonstrations, sales calls, or purchase decision calls
  • Manage any concerns or ‘objections’ that the prospect may have regarding the purchase of the product.
  • Ensure that quality of communication and service is maintained throughout the duration of the call.
  • Thoroughly and accurately document the key information obtained from the call in the CRM software

Required Skills

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of office-related experience.
  • Proven direct sales experience
  • A self-starter with a hunger for sales, motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced professional office environment
  • Strong MS Office professional skills.
  • Must be able to conduct repeated task work

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achieve monthly sales revenue targets
  • Meet company minimum standards regarding time keeping and office etiquette / behavior
