Field Service Technician
PEO Canada is partnering with our client, in the beverage equipment industry, to hire a Field Service Technician. This is a remote position that services the region surrounding Ottawa.
Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs Installation, Preventive Maintenance, and Reactive Service events on commercial beverage equipment.
- Maintains service van inventory to effectively respond to customer calls for service.
- Provides feedback to appropriate personnel to ensure timely and appropriate resolution to equipment or operational issues.
- Communicates accurate and timely information to both internal and external customers.
- Provides technical assistance for Sales Department when requested.
- Participates in planning and execution of new product field tests and new market tests.
- Participates in the development and implementation of Customer Support programs such as: internal programs, Trade Show support, Sales initiatives, Technical training meetings.
- Performs any travel required for resolving customer issues, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting beverage equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma, degree and/or vocational training in electrical/mechanical areas.
- Previous technical training, licenses and/or certification preferred such as CFESA certification.
- Refrigerant handling certification and experience repairing refrigeration devices would be preferred.
- Excellent phone manners and communication skills; previous customer service experience would be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and service electromechanical equipment.
- Must be willing and available to travel (approx. 15% of the time).
- Working knowledge of computers including Windows and Microsoft applications.
- Highly motivated, goal oriented, and self-confident with a positive attitude.
- Must have demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Must clear background check and a have a valid Driver’s License in good standing.
