PEO Canada provides a learning environment that allows team members to use the knowledge they have, and gain additional exposure and experience through consultation with our clients. In this role you will work in conjunction with our Human Resources Compliance team to support our valued clients. You will be required to learn, build upon and maintain current knowledge on provincial and federal employment legislation, human rights, contract law, and best practices as they relate to the Human Resources field.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the preparation of documents for clients relating to employee management;
- Support the development and finalization of employee policy and procedure manuals;
- Administration of pre-employment screenings and invoice thereof;
- Monitoring and communication of SIN expiration dates and contract term employment periods for our clients’ employees;
- Preparation and delivery of reports and client data.
The role is focused on supporting compliance with a goal of mitigating risks in the service we provide, as well as in the infrastructure we help our client’s develop.

We are looking for candidates that have 1 to 3 years’ experience in an HR-focused position and are looking to develop their knowledge and skills. Beginner to intermediate knowledge and experience in Canadian Legislation including inter-provincial Employment Standards and Human Rights is required. Completion of a post-secondary education in HR (or equivalent) from a recognized institution is preferred. Bilingual English/French would be considered an asset.
