Junior Accounts Payable and Receivable Administrator

PEO Canada is searching for a Junior Accounts Payable and Receivable Administrator on a Maternity cover basis. The successful applicant will join the accounting team at our head office located in downtown Calgary. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Payables objective is to support all aspects of accounts payable and receivable transactions within the organization.

Description

Range of responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performed daily bank deposit checks across all bank accounts, reported findings to Senior Accountant via email and prepared corresponding entries.
  • Assist with Diversified Staffing Services and PEO Canada Ltd. credit process including but not limited to, processing credit applications, entry into CRM, check of trade references and recommendations for credit status.
  • Checking, verifying sorting and distribution of customer Invoices via the Accounts Receivable Calgary Email inbox.
  • Correspondence with DSS customers via the Accounts Receivable Calgary Email inbox.
  • Daily maintenance of the DSS Accounts Receivable Calgary Email inbox.
  • Accounts payable processing and coordination, including but not limited to the printing of invoices, leasing with vendors, data entry and printing of cheques.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records, contact client via phone/email for remaining balance, unapplied credit and monthly reconcile from client’s request as directed by Controller if any.
  • Reconciliations of customer accounts and General Leger as directed by Controller.
  • Assist the Controller with printing and collating accounting reports for review and record-keeping purposes.
  • Sorting of incoming mail.
  • All other assigned duties

Required Skills

  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable would be an asset.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with internal teams and external partners.
  • Maintain a professional, polite and courteous demeanor when working with all co-workers, clients and vendors alike at all times.
  • Adaptable and flexible in schedule
  • Attention to detail
  • Uphold an organized work environment allowing for duties to be prioritized according to urgency
  • Maintain a working relationship with all Accounting Team members and Division Managers
  • Cross train Accounting duties as requested by Controller
  • Must be physically present in the office.
