Territory Sales Manager

PEO Canada is partnering with one of our clients, a manufacturer of quality high-pressure hydraulic hoses, in finding a Territory Sales Manager to join their team. This position is based in the Toronto area and covers Eastern Canada. The primary objective of the Territory Sales Manager is to focus on new business development as well as maintaining relationships with existing customers in order to achieve and establish sales and financial targets.

Description

  • Create, recommend and implement approved sales and marketing targets in all areas of the business to ensure that sales objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management by updating and managing organization contacts, tasks, calendars and opportunity details when necessary.
  • Grow sales revenue in specific region and targets set and identified by Sales Management.
  • Plan and prepare customer or territory reports for management as required.
  • Coordinate sales activities, which include quoting new business.
  • Understand Customer Service operations including order processes and stock movements.
  • Communicate with Sales Management to administer control of the inventories, debtors, creditors, expenses and the facilities within approved limits if required.
  • Evaluate ideas and suggestions for new products, in conjunction with investigating market opportunities and recommending exploitation of economically attractive products.
  • In conjunction with Sales Management, review and recommend pricing and determine discount structures to maximize gross profit for the company and the achievement of the stated target accounts.
  • Identify, investigate and prepare recommendations to secure major accounts in conjunction with the Distributors as required.
  • Ensure all claims, complaints are reported to Sales Management and satisfactorily resolved in line with Company protocols.
  • Participate in quarterly and yearly reviews of customer accounts.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Coordinator to ensure that opportunities are maximized and handled efficiently.
  • Work closely with the inside Sales team where both internal and external sales involvement is required for the opportunity to progress forward.
  • It is recognized that the incumbent will be required to travel frequently within the region to maintain and develop the company’s business programs.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience in sales, preferably within the hydraulics industry.
  • Experience developing and managing new distribution channel.
  • Experience utilizing and maintaining sales activities in a CRM.
  • Ability to travel in order to do business.
