National Sales Manager

PEO Canada is partnering with our client, a manufacturer of quality high-pressure hydraulic hoses, in finding a National Sales Manager to join their team in Canada. The primary objective of the National Sales Manager is to stimulate market share while implementing measures for the creation and professional growth of the Canadian sales team. The National Sales Manager also assists with the development of the strategic plan and takes the lead in the implementation of the growth strategy.

Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales budget objectives and business planning.
  • Growth of market share within Canada.
  • Ensure effective and productive management of sales & territory development activities.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting, account planning for proper commercial reporting.
  • Build a high-performing sales team by providing strong mentorship, coaching, and guidance.
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with other internal stakeholders.
  • Perform market research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
  • Identify and acquire new customers and up-sell to existing customer base.
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Stay up to date with new product launches, ensure sales team members are on board.
  • Analyze market trends, benchmark competitors’ activities, and formulate strategies to respond.
  • Monitoring the customers’ product range development and assuring the company presence across clients distributing product range.
  • Develop the team to answer technical questions, advising customers on how best to use the products.
  • Making technical and Sales presentations to clients, demonstrating how products can assist growth in their business.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leading a Sales Team.
  • Extensive product knowledge of hydraulic hose/engineering market and competitors.
  • Ability to work with, motivate, and build teams; lead decision-making processes in a team environment.
  • Strong commercial selling and negotiating skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
